AMS landscape, SAP global tables blocking

Hi all,

we are planning quite few SAP sequential rollouts. It seems that additional AMS system (for bug fixing only) is necessary. So eventually we will have 2 different development systems: Dev for projects and AMS for bug fixing. It is so that this approach requires more discipline of work. Some customizing/development activities should be blocked in Dev but not in AMS and vice versa. The question is u2013 have you ever met such an solution to block all the SAP global tables on a certain SAP system? (to prevent people from modifying it in parallel on both Dev and AMS).

Thank you in advance.

Regards

Hi

It's possible.

2 options

a. You may separate the users and with authorizations using roles/profiles

b. You can lock the system using both SCC4 (client specific) & SE06 (Global Object level)
