Hello All,
I'm installing an IDM 7.1 with MSSQL as DB.
The despatcher's service status is "Running" and dispatcher configuration is running fine by making a Test run.
To test a job execution, I created a New/Empty job from the context menu of the "Job folder" and the following steps are done:
Change the name of the job in the console tree.
Select "Enabled".
Verify that "Java" is selected in the "Runtime engine" field.
Choose "Every minute" as the "Schedule rule".
Select the dispatcher in the list "Run by dispatchers".
Choose "Apply".
However, I'm not able to see the job log. It's completelt empty.
System log says "Job has not been requested"
(First of all I'm not sure whether the job has ran succesfully.. hot to check this?)
Can anybody tell me what's wrong here?
Thanks a lot in advance.
Warm Regards,
Pradeep
Pradeep,
try to get some more information by looking at the state tab page of the selected job.
what kind of job are you trying to run?

Hi,
The state of the job is 'Idle'.
I'm going through the Initial Configuration document of IDM setup.
Just to Verify the job execution, I'm trying to create a dummy job that does not perform any operations, but is used to verify that the Identity Center is properly configured.
Can anyone help out?
Thanks and Regards,Pradeep
Just do some of the Tutorials you can find in SDN, e.g. Basic Sync or ActiveDirectory and Provisioning.
Then you will see if everything works or not.
I can only suggest that a Job without a pass in it will neither do anything nor write someting to the JobLog.... Use the "Run Now"-button for testing, not a schedule.
Have fun
Regards
Michael
Hi Michael,
Thats exactly what I'm trying to do!
I'm following the Initial Configuration document of IDM setup!
The step I'm trying to do is like an exercise!
Just to Verify the job execution, I'm trying to create a dummy job that does not perform any operations, but is used to verify that the Identity Center is properly configured.
The output according to the document is nothing but an entry in the job log(there will not be any entries processed, which is correct, since the job does not do anything.)
But I'm unable to see anything in the log... it's empty... thats my problem.
Your help is very much appreciated.
Warm Regards,
Pradeep
