Hi Naga,

I think u may be using details stored in the local system for displaying in the detailed level navigation. If that is so, put the data in the server and refer that path for display so that it will be visible remotely also.

Hope that helps.

Hai Harini,

I will explain what i did upto now.

Create 3 i urlIviews add these 3 iviews to 3 pages,

these 3 pages are added to one workset workset is assigned to a role , and changed the entryPont property of a role to yes.

So that i found the three page links are in detailed navigation tray. but i cant see these links remotely.

Hi Naga,

In the local system itself, try logging in as http://<portal_server>:<port_no>/irj instead of http://localhost:<port_no>/irj.

R u getting the same problem? If no, then it may be the browser problem.

Hi Naga,

I am not sure of the actual problem. But try these,

1)Check the proxy server settings in Internet Explorer->Tools -> Internet Options ->Connections->LAN Settings.

2)Enable the ActiveX Controls and plugins.

Hi Naga,

We faced the same problem of you sometime ago,we sole it by change the System name of iview to "SAP_LocalSystem".

And other way you can try is change WAS Host Name as <ip>:<port> in System Configuration.

Hi,

1. Use the FQDN and not IP nor localhost

ie. abc.company.com

2. In Internet Explorer,

a.Go to Tools - > Internet Options - > Connections - > Advanced

b.Set the proxy server details and enable "Bypass proxy "

3. Add the portal address to the Trusted sites list of the browser. (Check Tools - > .... )

4. Check the permissions of the portal content, system etc that need to be displayed.

Hi Nag,

You are not able to get this system in system dropdownbox because you must define the System alias,

and you can see System alias int system dropdownbox.

and created system for WebApplicationserver, and created system alias too.

Hi,

I dont think you can get your R/3 Systems displayed in for URL iViews.

I have tested several times and the URL iView displays only "HTTP systems".

Hai,

I tried by using web dynpro iviews with system sap_localSystem.

when i used the hostname i am able to see the detailed navigator

when i used ipaddress instead of host name i can't able to see the detailed navigator information.

why it will happen like this.

2. please tell me what is the difference between copy and deltalink

Hi Naga,

1. Genenrally for portal url , you have to use FQDN only.

ie. Fully Qualified domain name eg :abc.domain.com

Ip Address usage will throw errors.

2. iViews when copied into roles/workset/pages will not reflect any changes made in the source. It will act as a new instance.

iViews when put as a delta link into roles/workset/pages, will reflect all the changes done in the source iview.

Hi,Naga:

Which System is used when you define the iviews?May be you used the improper name of System.

Hai reefish,

I think its not the problem with iviews , becuase i tried to login as administrator from remote system also i am not able to see the detatils detail navigator (like useradministration).
