File- to-IDoc Synchronous Response

Hi Friends,

I have a scenario File- to-IDoc Synchronous Response for SAP R/3 and MDM integration.

I have scenario like File-to-IDoc for SAP R/3 and MDM integration using SAP XI. I syndicated the data from SAP MDM to SAP R/3 which I imported from non-SAP.

I want to synchronous the SAP R/3 generated <b>INTERNAL NUMBER</b> to SAP MDM, if the R/3 has the option for master data (like Vendor, Customer and Material) as INTERNAL NUMBER GENERATION.

Could you please share your experience?

HI Bala,

SAP MDM take the Input as xml or excel or a database for importig the data into SAP MDM. As ESA defines the standards of your architecture its important to use XI to bring the Standard way of convertion to data. XI takes the standards R/3 Idoc and converts the XML as input to MDM. In MDM Import Manager is a tool which does this. Where as for a reverse scenario another service need to be defied in ESA which syndicates the MDM data into a Flat file directly or a XML to XI which will then writes back to R/3 in Idoc format.
