Amin, let us assume that you have to perform a work of 100Hrs in 10 days(01.01.09 to 10.01.09). again, assume that on 04.01.09, the work completed is 35Hrs and no actual finish date was entered for this 35hrs of work , now if your superior wants to view the progress of the project and would like to know, how many days it took to complete 35hrs of work or upto which date this 35hrs of work is completed, where will he get this information if no actual finish date was entered. You will get the information that 35hrs of work has been completed, but you will not get from when to when this work was done. That is why you have to give actual finish date also for partial confirmation.
