Problem Deploying J2EE app from NWDS to SAP ERP AS JAVA

Hello,

I am using SAP NetWeaver 7.1 Composition Environment SP05 PAT0000 Build id: 200802231406.

I want to deploy a dictionary to "Release: SAP ERP/ECC 6.0 NetWeaver 7.0". After creating the archive I try to deploy and get the following messages:

[001] Start deployment

Checking for SDM host

Found SDM host: sap6....

SDM port not defined or not found

Looking for Deploy Controller deploy mechanism...

I think I opened the ports correctly on the SAP6 server (500018 and 500118).

Do you know the problem? Could the problem be that I need to use NWDS 7.0? Any help is appreciated.

Using a NW 7.1 Server solved the problem as suspected.

Once I configure the EAR-Project for the NetWeaver Server I will get the message null pointer exception. Are there some logs I my cosult?
