Hi,
I have a sync WS to Proxy interface. my end user (i.e., ESB guy) has issue with service performance. in order to test & determine minimal performance threshold, R/3 proxy implementation was changed, and current service has "ping functionality" (answer is being returned as soon as request is accepted. no selects or call functions activities done by R/3).
this "ping functionality" was used to get minimal performance of WS.
according to our test we got average time of 1.1 sec.
observations/assumptions:
1. since we have to go via ESB>XI>R/3, by http protocol, and authentication is required at every step. measured time (of 1.1 sec) is reasonable.
2. according to RWB>performance monitoring measured time is lower. because first step (i.e., ESB>XI) is not counted.
plz, review my observations/assumptions.
what can be done in order to improve WS performance?
Regards.

it is probably not an XI issue and therefore marked as answered.
