Hi,

Both are supported in SRM 7.0. For technical details, please check workflow guide.

http://service.sap.com/srm-inst -> SAP SRM 6.0 -> Workflow Guide SAP SRM 2007.

Application-Controlled Workflow:

- Sane as SRM 5.0.

- Upgrade customers can use this without any change

- Approval steps are defined in workflow template or BADI

Process-Controlled Workflow

- Recommended for new customers.

- Approval steps are defined in customizing table
