Hi,
After configured SAPConnect for SMTP mail, we found the date time for sent out message is incorrect (time added 7 hrs). The problem should be incorrect time zone specified in the system. The system time zone is CET (which should be the default) and our local time zone should be UTC+8.
What is the impact on modify the time zone? The system has been up and run for many years. Will the timestamp of the change document became incorrect afterward. All end users and application servers are on the same time zone (UTC+8).
Regards,
Michael

Thanks for the reply.
Actually how to change the system time zone is not the problem. What I worry is "Will this affect the data already stored in the system". Following is the output of TZCUSTHELP.

Hi,
Upon changing the time zone, you go to recycle your SAP to take effect the changes.
When you recycle your SID, it basically gets sync up with the changes made at OS level as well SAP Application level.
As per my knoweldge, it's guranteed for afterwards transactional data but not the already committed data.
I hope it make sense to you.
