SAP MDM Carrier

Hi

Im SAP BW Consultant and wants to learn the MDM . But what is job oppurtunities for MDM . Are more client are implementing SAP MDM .

But when i try to look for jobs in MDM in monster, workopolis . I dont find that many chances for SAP MDM .

Is SAP MDM is hot module like SAP-BI or not .

Hello Rizwan,

I would say, MDM is nice to have as secondary skill with BW as primary skill (in your case).

Just for curiosity, Can you share the reason, why you want to learn MDM?

Hi Rizwan,

Job oppurtunities are less compared to BW/BI modules as every client does not need MDM implemantation in their project.

1.MDM is mostly implemeted if Client has different system landscape with them or if data flows between many systems(SAP), not with in single SAP ERP

2. MDM is also helpful if the company has different ERP's (SAP, BaaN, Oracle etc) as it might had taken over other companies.

However BW/BI would always needed for Hirerachy reporting, even if it is a single ERP. My best suggestion would be go for SAP-BO as it has almost functions of MDM (Data enrichment) & also reporting tool.

If u r comfortable with BI , BO then learning MDM would add advantage to your profile.
