Factory calendar

Hello guys,

We have a requirement that we need to create a new factory calender to meet the business requirements. Could you please let me know the steps invoived in it. Basically I am looking for the determinition of a calendar, once we created a new one in GTS. Is there any relation to the factory caleder of ECC. If so....how the mapping goes?

Hello Pradeep,

the factory calendar can be created by transaction SCAL.

I dont think GTS anyhow uses factory calendars as they are mainly assigned to the plants. There is no mapping between GTS factory calendar and ECC calendars (at least there is no mapping).

I went throught the transaction SCAL and I am pretty much comfirtable with it. The only question for which i am not getting any clue is "how the system determines the factory calender for a particular transaction?

Hi Pradeep,

in transaction OP03 you can find plant assignment to the factory calendar.

Calendar is checked when MRP is runing per plant. But anyway this is mainly production planning topic.
