Hi Experts,
What's the role of Modelling in PI7.1(Enterprise Service builder)?
Is it just for managing the hierarchy?
Regards,
Sushama
In any business process, there will be some steps involved.
Each of this steps has some service to be consumed.
SAP PI 7.1 has a modeling tool that enables you to model, process components, services.
In short, modeling is a process of defining your cosumer model and provider models.
For example, using modeling, you can create Outside-In enterprise service.
In this process, you create a service interface based on message types, which in turn are based on core data types.
Then you go to the backend system and create proxies for the service interface operations.
After that, you publish the services to a UDDI (Service registry).
