Changing Lighthammer Home in BLS (xMII 11.5)

Hi,

I incorrectly set "Lighthammer Home" from BLS>Transactions>System menu, to a server in which i don't have access. So now xMII is not allowing me to login to BLS Transaction editor(or CMS Logic Editor). How to reset "Lighthammer Home" to the previous value? Please help.

What is 'Lighthammer Home' ? The link in the Menu.jsp simply follows the http://xxxx of your browser address, so http://localhost and http://servername should route you to the same server (obviously localhost requires you to be on the server directly).

Thanks for the reply.

I can logon to the Home Page of xMII 11.5 with my username.

But my problem is with Business Logic Services. In xMII 11.5, CMS Logic Editor need connection authentication (even if you successfully logged in to xMII Homepage). I am facing problem in this (CMS Logic Editor) authentication.

Inside CMS Logic Editor, we can change the u201CLighthammer Homeu201D (instead of localhost, which is default, we can give another servername) through System menu in CMS Logic Editor. So from next time onwards the CMS Logic Editor will try to logon to the new server. I my case unfortunately I donu2019t have access to the new server I have given. If I am trying to login to CMS Logic Editor, it is not allowing me to login because I donu2019t have access in the new serverI have given.

I can't reset the server name back to the old server through the System menu in CMS Logic Editor, because I can't even login into CMS Logic Editor.

Are you sure this is an 11.5 environment? Your colleague seems to be impacted by this, but says 11.0 (which makes more sense because I don't see your setting in an 11.5 system):

If you can go directly onto the server (physically on the server, or through remote desktop) and use http://localhost you should be able to get into the editor without needing to log in, and you might be able to fix the environment that way.

You can also search the C:\Lighthammer, C:\Illuminator, C:\Xacute directories for a file containing the server name string that you changed your setting to from within the editor. If you can find the file and make the change, just restart and you should be back to normal.

You should also consider getting your MII server landscape to a modern version - 11.0 is quite outdated and pre-dates the Lighthammer acquisition in July of 2005.

You are correct.

It is not SAP xMII 11.5; it is Lighthammer Collaborative Manufacturing Suite 11.0.1 b38.

In xMII 11.5, there is no System menu inside Transaction editor.
