BW format date

Hello Community.

I'm using VC to expose the data returned by a BW query designed with the Query Designer.

When comparing the data returned by VC and the transaction /listcube, I don't get the date I'm looking for.

In the /listcube transaction, I get the following date: 05.05.2009

While in the corresponding fiellds in VC I get: 00000000

In VC, when selecting this date, I don't have 3 variables like in other dates:

Instead of having "date, date_ext_key and date_key", I only have "date and date_key".

I usuailly use the "date_ext_key" to expose a date, but I don't have it in this case. Could that be the reason ? How can I fix this pb?

Hi

Just check the 'Display' properties of that 'Date' field in 'BEx Query'. It should be 'Key & Text' then you will get all the 3 options.

Also in VC you can check the query through right click & 'define /test query'. There you will come to know where you are getting values for that field. YOu can use that option.
