When MaxDB will be able to run on Windows 7 platform ?

Windows 7 is based on the same kernel as Windows 2008 R2 which is currently not supported. As soon as that is supported you can run MaxDB on Windows 7 too.

If you install a DBStudio a MaxDB 7.7 will be delievered - so if that works (technically) then MaXDB works too.

In the supported platforms list there's 2008 / x86-64 is this the same as 2008 R2 ?

No, 2008 R2 is a new kernel. See the first article on
