Welcome to SD module
SD is the Sales flow which starts from the Customer INQUIRY and ends up with the BILLING and Payment from Customer
Customer will come to business to Inquiry on the Products and with reference to that Business will give the QUOTATION which contains the Price and the Delivery terms
Based on the Quotation will raise a PURCHASE ORDER ( which is an external document) and with reference to it Business will generate the SALES ORDER and DELIVERS the goods and BILLS the customer for the products
This is the flow of Sales & distribution
But to execute these transaction we require some MASTER DATA & CONFIGURATION which will be done in SAP EASY ACCESS and IMG settings
So the CUSTOMER , MATERIAL & PRICING CONDITION RECORDS are treated as MASTER DATA
And SALES DOCUMENT TYPES, BILLING DOCUMENT TYPES, DELIVERY DOCUMENT TYPES are treated as CONFIGURATION DATA
