Bex general settings modification in characteristic

Hi all,

I simply changed the text type (from short to medium text)in the Bex general settings of one characteristic.

This change is well displayed in all queries based on ODS but does not appear in all queries based on cube!

I also...

- regenerate the queries using RSRT1

- reactivate the cube

but nothing change...

Do you have a explanation for that ?

here find the solution :

Edit cube using RSD1 or RSDCUBE -> Extras -> Structur-Specific InfoObject Properties -> Modify text type...

Hi,

Just logoff and relogin and execute the query and see. The changes must be reflected. But this is a fluke ans I believe. Lets check and see....

Unfortunately, nothing changes after one logoff…

Do you think this could be linked to cube settings?

Hi,

No, its not linked to cube settings. It is related to formating in BEx. Sometimes, changes on Inoobject are not reflected in BEx. One need to refresh the query and check. Just check the output by creating a dummy query. If the same output comes even in that query we can think of the problem. Hope this will help you....
