Support Message & Notification - relation

Hi Experts,

When we create a support message & go to document flow we will find the Preceding document Document type Notification.

Just wanted to know for what purpose we need this Notification & is it mandatory document.

Hi,

A Support Message is splitted into 2 documents. The CRM Message (this is the message you are working with via CRMD_ORDER, CRM_DNO_MONITOR) and the ABA Notification.

Since Solution Manager is build on SAP CRM, al messages are CRM Business Transactions. To make it possible the create message out of Satellites (which are not CRM Systems) to the Central SAP Solution Manager System we need a message on the Netweaver level --> the ABA Notification. This ABA Notification is also neede to make it possible to send message out of SAP Solution Manager to SAP. When you are in your mesage and you choose for "Send message to SAP" the system is sending all data through the ABA Notification to SAP.
