Encryption of Personal Information

Hi Experts,

Though we do not have access to Production environment, but we do have System Copies done by the Basis team where in there is "Data" copied from production to subsequent systems and there can be a possibility that the data can be accessed in Development systems through Tables as the data is not Encrypted.

Is there any Functionality available in SAP by which we can encrypt the Personal information fields in SAP database tables

SAP version - 4.72

Oracle database version - 9.2.0.8.0

As I understand , Function Modules like FIEB_PASSWORD_ENCRYPT is not a feasible solution.

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Hi Sachin,

You may need to check out Note 662340 'SSF Encryption Using the SAPCryptolib'.

Possibly that may help.
