Registering Mobile Device in DOE

Former Member

Hi,

I have created a test device of type u201CPDAu201D using DOE Administrator. Now the status of the device is in u201CInitialu201D and it is u201CEnabledu201D. I have a problem in registering the test device in DOE and also in assigning DO to the device. After registering device I need to synchronize with DOE.

Kindly help me to achieve my above mentioned requirements.

FYI, the current status of the device in DOE Administrator as follows.

Device has no conflicting DM SWCVs

No Data Object instances are available to be extracted to the device

Device has not synchronized with DOE

[_View Outbound Queue Details_]

[_View Subscription Details_]

View the list of Data Objects for which the device is subscribed, along with the subscription criteria

Thanks.

Regards,

Vinodh Raj

Hi,

As Rahul said,we cannot assign a DO directly to the device, It is only possible to assign a Distribution Model SWCV to the device.

In the very beginning please ensure that the CDS is popuklated with the desired data which is to be seen in the device. If the CDS has the values, we need to check whther the distribution rules for the data objects are active, whether the device attributes are maintained correctly.

If all the above points are checked and found to be satisfactory, assign the DMSWCV to the device.

Once this is done, enable the device.Once device is enabled (if data is to be expected to be flown to the device) ,"VIEW PENDING EXTRACTS" link will appear in the device status tab.

This"VIEW PENDING EXTRACTS" link will show the number of instances from each data object which is to be flown into the device.

When "TRIGGER EXTRACT" button is clicked the data flows to the device outbound queue"

If data reaches till the device outbound queue ,then everything is fine in DOE Side.

Now the settings in the Mobile Client to be done for synchroninsing. The server name, device name, client name etc to be given in moile clinet for sync.

Please check with the above points..

Hi,

As mentioned in the above posts..maintain the mandatory parameters on the client to sync with the DOE.

Remeber that you can not directly add a DO to a device but you can assign the DMSWCv to which it belongs. For Assigning DMSWCV to your device...go to NetWeaver Mobile Administration and Monitoring portal->Administration->Device Administartion search for your device and click on the hyper link. Now Click on the manage DMSWCV button on the right side and you can assign your DMSWCV to the device.

Hi,

To register the device you need to specify the server settings and sync with the DOE the first sync will result in error and will ask for the mandatory parameters like DEVICE name. fill the device name and sync the device will be registered

Hi

In order to sync your device, it has to be registered first against the DOE.

In this case, the first sync for the device will fail and will prompt the user to register the device. Once the required mandatory fields are filled, user needs to sync again. This time the device should get registered.

Please follow the below given link to know more about registration

Make sure that all the mandatory parameters for registration are filled correctly.

In case of error code 22, check this

Hi Vinodh,

Sycn from the PDA for the registration, try 3 times to sync with DOE, so that your PDA will register with DOE.
