Line item 900- - generated in the delivery when packing is done in the del

Hello,

When I perform packing in out bound delivery, line item of HU is generated in the delivery (item no starting from 900- - -)

I checked in T-code VHAR, for packing material type, the tab u201CGenerateDlvItmsu201D is blank. I would like to know,

Why packing item is generated in the delivery when we create HU?

(ii) If I do not want to generate packing item in the delivery then what are the setting?

Hey,

In HU Config for Define Packaging Material Type:

Generate Delivery Items

Controls whether a packaging material line item is added to the delivery when the HUu2019s are packed into the delivery. This works in collaboration with the relevant Delivery Type and Item Category Determination being set.

Other Config elements to check:

Check that the Delivery Type you are using does NOT have the flag "Gen. pack. matl item" set also.

You will also need to check in the Delivery Item Category Determination Config table if you have any entries for your Delivery Type (Delivery)/ Item Category Group (on the Material Master) and Usage (if you have any entries with Usage "PACK") .. as you could potentially remove these if not required.
