Wrong System Status for Inspection Lot

Hi gurus,

We have one inspection lot generated throgh raw material GR. Result recording for this lot is done. Usage decision is not done & stock posting is done. I have two issues with the same lot

1) UD for lot not done still the status for the lot is shown as UD & system is not allowing to go to UD screen in change mode.I have checked in administrative data, no prior UD is done. Also in UD field no UD code is punched.

2) System status is SPCO, still in stock posting tab lot qty. is shown as Qty. to be posted. IN MMBE lot QTY. against same batch is showing in unrestricted stock which is correct. Why in stock posting it is showing as Qty. to be posted.

What might be the reason. Please help.

Dear Amith

There is an SAP note for this issue. Kindly look into this note and check whether it suits your issue

Hi Gajesh,

Thanks for your reply. Is there any reason for which system status is not updated or is there any wrong procedure followed by end user that why system status is not updated? what will happen if i apply the said note because i have to apply it in production system.

As per note suggested by Gajesh :

Cause and Prerequisites:

In general, the error occurs only if:

o You have already tried to make the usage decision for the

respective inspection lot by using one of the following

transactions:

QA10, QA16, QVM1, QVM2, QVM3

o Prior to the update, the corresponding usage decision code started

a follow-up action that carried out a COMMIT WORK.

The error can also occur if you have entered the usage decision using

Transaction QA11, and if you end the processing of the usage decision

without saving after the follow-up action has been executed.

Dear Amith

The apprehension you might have is that this inspection lot issue may not be there in any of the other clients (dev, quality ).

better raise a OSS request and check with SAP . May be they will come back with the same note

Hi Amit,

Have you tried using QA14 to enter a UD or are you trying throught ME51N ?
