Overwrite default user logon language

Hello,

I am working in an Integrated ITS in ECC 6.0. I have an SICF service, that uses a standard logon scree, with language set to english.

When a user executes the service, the screens are in english, everything is OK. If he closes the browser window without leaving the browser completely, and relaunches the service, the logon screen does not appear thanks to the SSO ticket, which is fine. However, the second time, the service runs in the default logon language of the user.

We want the service to run in English always. We have tried the ~language parameter in the service, the "sap-language=EN" in the service URL, and still it gets overwritten by the default logon language of the user.

Do someone know how to change that ?

Thank you.

Thomas

Hi Thomas,

It looks like the issue here is the web browser. If you are using IE, you can set the language you want to use: Tools -> Internet Options -> Languages. You can have your own preference order. You can check if this is the case.

You can also check SAP note 975010: parameter ~language is now obsolete.

I hope this helps.

Best regards,

Cristiano
