Demand Planning consensus

Hi Gurus

Just have couple of queries on the functional side of APO

1) When the unconstrained plan is sent to SNP, what happens if the supply planner doesnu2019t agree with the demand? How is it sent back to the planners?

2) If the Supply Network planner asks for change in the demand forecast, how is it reflected in the demand plan? Who has the ownership of the same?

3) If there is no capacity in the network to support the demand plan how is the adjustment made? Are these changes reflected in the system?

Thanks in advance

Hi ,

1) You can define many layers to refine your forecast in the Demand planning , then only you release corrected forecast to SNP , once it release to SNP you can't change the past data , other wise you need to go back to DP and change the corrected forcast and release fcst again .

2) There is a concept of 3 planners like 1) Demand planner 2) Supply planner and 3) Scheduler .

To make any changes in demand plan , demand planner is the correct person to change .

3) If there is no capacity in the current month , system will show " over flow qty ", you need to do level the capacity , then system will adjust the plan to next availability by using certain huristics .

I hope it clears

Thanks
