what is advantage of "Rebate" in defining sales org

If someone enters the incorrect Sales Organisation is there any way to change it after it has been saved?

This is to activate the Rebate Process. To activate the rebate process, we need to activate the Rebate at Sales Organisation, Billing Type and Payer Master Data.

Hi,
The field is activated to ensuer that Rebate is activated for the sales org.Only thereafter rebate related customization can be done.
