Hi
in the JAVA logs of the XI-system the following error messages appear: jetzt sind auch einige Fehlermeldungen in den JAVA Logs über TREX:
com.sapportals.trex.TrexException: This exception is thrown by failed search engine and text mining actions: Message: TREX Name Server (including back-up servers) is down or not accessable. (Errorcode 7217); To-String: com.sapportals.trex.TrexException: TREX Name Server (including back-up servers) is down or not accessable. (Errorcode 7217); Trex-Msg: 7217; Trex-Code: .
For the payload we do not use TREX.
Can we turn off TREX and if yes what is the proper way
to do it?
Thanks for your feedback.
Kind regards
Chris
I would like to know were I could get more information regarding the usage of TREX with XI. I heard that TREX could be used to index information, such as message numbers, using TREX; but I haven't found any documentation on it.
Thanks in advance,
Jose Garcia

Hi,
you can turn off indexing in the RWB
http://server:port/rwb/index.jsp
(index administration)
deactivate option for all components
you can also check if all communication with trex:
1. TREX_RFC_DESTINATION
2. nameserver.address
is disabled:
