Variant Configurable material in production BOM

Hi,

I have a scenario with the following materials:

Material A - Configurable material with its own sales BOM

Material B - Configurable material with its own Production BOM and is a material in sales Bom of material A

Material C - Configurable material. It is in the production BOM of material B

Material C charaterisitcs are not inheriting values from Material B. I have created the object dependency procedure and the configuration profile.

At the sales order level, sap gives an error that there are component characterisitcs to be allocated and takes me to the characteristics screen of material C.

Does it have something to do with the settings in the configuration profile?

Can you please help me out with this issue?
