Hi gurus,

i have added an attribute to my master data char

my question is

1. if i do the full load will that be enough becoz as of my understanding master data will overwrite any duplicate records. So need to do the reinit am i right

2. if i am doing a full load to have the current data do i need to load the text data as well.

please kindly confirm it becoz i am going to do it in production system.

thanks and regards

hi Neel,

yes, you are right, the key for master data is the infoobject itself.

you can re-init if it's delta-enabled master data

or full upload for not supported delta.

no need to do anything to the text, it's separated datasource.

hope this helps.

Yes, remove previous init request from the infopackage and also delete master data.

Hi Neel

Yes . Carry out the init data load again .

2. if i am doing a full load to have the current data do i need to load the text data as well.-

Text data load is not involved in this . But it's better that you load the texts as well and then run hierarchy/attribute change run for this characteristic.

You can do a re-init or a full load to (it's better to redo e init process); if they are not changed, you don't need to reload text.

Hope it helps.
