partner determination

Dear all,

We assign partner functions to customer account group, partner functions will be in partner determination procedure.

What is the need of assigning customer a/c grp to partner determination procedure even though they contain partner functions?

Hi,

In 'partner functions in procedure', we are maintaining 'Not modifiable' and 'Mandatory'. This are appeared in the partner function of the customer master.

All possible link between 'Partner function' and 'Account group' are maintained in 'Account groups - functions assignment. But these are not "Not modifiable" or "Mandatory. These partner functions can be added to the customer master wherever it is applicable.

As you correctly said, we assign the allowed partner functions to an account group. Also assign the required partner functions to the Partner determination procedure. Customer master is created for an account group. How would the system know which partner functions are required, mandatory and which are non mofifiable? That is defined in the partner determination procedure. Therefore there should be a link between the partner determination procedure and the account group.
