Question on unicode nametab on source system

Dears ,

doing the unicode conversion during the final preparation steps we are asked to create the unicode nametab on the source system not unicode..

I always did this action with no user logged on, also the Sap guide do not says anything about that.

In you opinion is possible to use in production operation a Non unicode system where final preparation steps have been performed (and so the unicode nametab have been created ) ?

I would recommend to generate this right before your upgrade.

You may also running it during production operation but you need to make sure there will be no change in ddic objects. It is given in the unicode preparation guide, page no 23.
