Hi
how the QM relation ship is working with this three terminology . Where i can view the relationship . Can any one explain me
QN : we have Inspection type in the material master , and how it ties up in the inspection plan and what basis the orgin is creating automatically . is it possible to assign multiple orgin for a single usage . Any input will be highly appreciated .
Thanks
Nic
Thank you very much . How the system will determine the inspection lot origin if we assign multiple inspection type to the same origin . we maintained 08 and 0800 in the configuration for the inspection origin 08 . how the system can differentiate 08 / 0800 inspection type, both are active in material master.
Thanks
Nic

Hi
For this
If for a particular Inspection lot origin has multiple inspection types which are active in QM view then.........There is one tick of "Proffered Inspection type" in the QM view.
If this is active say against 08 inspection type when 0800 & 08 both active then,08 inspection lot will be created.
So better to avoid such a scenario or use Preffered inspection type tick.

Sujit
inspection lot origin is at header level
1 inspection lot origin can have more than 1 inspection types under it.
for ex. inspection lot origin 01 has inspection type 01,0101,0130,22
u can view this relationship in Quality Management>Quality Inspection>Inspection Lot Creation-->Maintain Inspection Lot Origins and Assign Inspection Types --> SELECT inspection lot origin and click on insp. type for origin
inspection plan and usage settings
Quality Management>Quality Inspection>Inspection Lot Creation>Maintain Inspection Types>select insp. type
-->task list usage is maintained here
it is possible to assign multiple orgin for a single usage

Hi Nic,
The inspection lot origin is assigned against the inspection type in customising, when you create the inspection plan you assign the corresponding inspection origin.
When you do the material assignment to the inspection plan then the system will automatically detect the material against the inspection lot origin assignment and create the task list assignment to the inspection lot. Please note though that if you assign the material to multiple inspection plans with the same origin then the task list will not be automatically assigned to the inspection lot as the system will not know which task list to choose, this will have to be done manually.

Roderick
