Hei

What is correct RMAN connection parameters.

I see the SAPnotes that RMAN connest parametes is: RMAN> connect target /

But i see SAP DB13 logs that connect parameters is: RMAN> connect target * and then gate error "ORA-01031: insufficient privileges"

If i try handly on commant prompt: RMAN> connect target / then its work.

So, if i mast and how i can change RMAN connection parameter. When after "target" have / (slash) not * (star).

SAP system is: SAP BW Netware 7.0 and database: oracle 102_02. OPsystem: linux 64

Sorry my english and regards

Hello Reemet,

Which user did you use on the command line (ora<SID> or <SID>adm)?

If you schedule your backups through the SAP scheduler, you will execute the commands as <SID>adm.

I would suggest to take a look at sapnote #776505 and check/create the users like it is described.
