Hi Experts
Due to deviation of supply quality by vendor, there will be additional costs incurred in the project execution phase.
This need to be recorded in system for re-evluating vendor price comparion. And client does not want to charge the vendor.
To record the deviations, i wish to propose the claim with cost integration. So that the deviations are seperately recorded.
My query here is:
Can claim be created just to seperately record additional costs in association with project object, and not to charge vendor?
Please clarify me, because of referencing the purchase order, whether this claim creates debit to vendor?

yes, claim can be used to seperately record the cost of variations against the customer / vendor
if then wish to recover from the customer / vendor then the data is available#
