SAP Web AS Application Connection error.

Dear Friends,

While i'm testing the System objects for SAP Web AS Application Server. I'm getting the the error as below

"An HTTP/S connection to http://<FQDN>:<port number>/sap/webdynpro/dispatcher/ was not obtained successfully; this might be due to a closed port on the Firewall".

Please let me know why this system objects are giving errors.

- is the system local?

- can you resolve the FQDN?

- did you check the firewall settings?
