Reg Mass password reset portal

Hi,

We currently got requirement to reset passwords for huge number of portal users.

I am not sure how this can be done.

Can anyone suggest is there any work around through which we can handle this in better way.

Where is your UME pointing to?

If this is for a failover mechanism, then I would strongly suggest a redirect to a password selfservice if the "normal" authentication method goes down for a while.

This way, only users who do want to use the system during that time will reset their own passwords for a logon to the portal, and all others on vacation or in meetings will not be confused by it (or even notice it).

This is much less disruptive and easy to implement.

No, it is not failover mechanism.

As a part of project we have to create new portal id's for around 500 users.

I am looking for any work around where we can do this without doing this manually

Hi Rakesh, there is no "out of the box" way to do this with the UME. Have you referred to the UME API, specifically the IUserAccount class to see if it will meet your requirements?
