Hello Experts,
Can anyone explain how can I control the activity relationship in APO PDS.
I need to change the relation from End to Start to Start to Start.
It has to be somwhere in the routing I think but I'm not able to find out what exactly.
Thank you very much in advance for your help
Regards
Georgi
Hi Georgi!
You can change the Activity Relationships in transactions CA01/02/03 (Create/Change/Display Routing) in the R/3 side.
Hope this helps you!

Hello,
I am experiencing the same issue, with needing to change the activity relationship in an APO-PDS. I am looking for clarity with this solution - are you saying I have to delete all my routings and recreate them with the appropriate activity relationship versus being able to change/modify the relationship?
I was also not able to find the appropriate field in ECC with correlates to the APO Activity Relationship field. Can anyone be more specific, as I am very new to SAP?
Thank you very much for any help with this one!

Hi,
SNP, PPDS and CTM PDS only supports End-Start Relationship.
I had created an OSS note for this same issue and SAP replied back that no other relationship than End-Start is supported.
Pl refer to OSS note 604878, for more information. This note is only if you are using Discrete manufacturing.
If you are using PP-PI, the issue still remains. We are working with SAP to help us in resolving this.
Thank you All for the replays,
What I forgot to mention is that I need to change the relation between operation and suboperation.
Now it is end-start and I would like to change it to start-start.
Will,
I guess it is in the routing but where exactly. I can not find the setting.
What is also strange in my case is that I have another product with the same looking routing but it has start to start relation in APO PDS.
Any ideas?
Regards
Georgi

Hi,
If you maintain parallel sequence in routing it will result in start start relationship. For how to maintain parallel sequences follow following link

Hi Georgi,
As you are aware, a typical routing has got many
operations and activities.
There are many activities which happens parallelly
or one after the other.
If you have activities 10, 20, 30 etc., each one will
be followed and will get start after the previous one
got end.
The same will be maintained in routing master data
(using ca01 transaction) and this will get transferred
as PDS data into APO.
This activity relationship data will be used by PPDS
during scheduling of orders into its activities.
