Hello Everyone,
I am installing SAP Solution Manager EhP1 with DB2 9.5 on Windows 2008 server version 6.1 .
I got a error , When setup reached "create java user SAPJSF'. But i am able logged on the Solution manager , when i used SICK transaction ,it is saying "OS release Windows NT 6.1 7600 2x AMD64 is not supported with this kernel(701)".
i have checked service.sap.com/pam , there it is only mentioned windows 2008 server , not mentioning version.
Now my question is:
1. Does kernel 7.10 or 7.11 supports OS release Windows NT 6.1 7600 2x AMD64
2. If it supports will simple kernel upgrade will work , or i have to go for fresh installation again.
3. i have taken the screen shot while installaing , ther i can see it is strictly asking for CD of kernel 7.01. It means while using this installation master , i can not use different kernel CD.
Please suggest how to proceed.
Thanks
Shashi Singh

Windows NT 6.1 is "Windows 2008 R2" and is not yet supported:
- Read the first entry in the middle on
- Note 1383873 - Windows Server 2008 R2 Support
- read http://service.sap.com/pam

see above.
So you cannot use Windows 2008 R2 yet, you have to reinstall Windows 2008.

Hi,

I think your solution manager is on release 7.01. So, you cannot use kernel 7.1 and 7.11

If you will check kernel info on SMP for 7.01 release then it shows that it is compiled for NT 5.2. Then i think you have to change your OS to NT 5.2.
