Scenario?
Simple..if a datasource is delta enabled..then use that functionality..it will decrease load on the database and improve the system performance..u wont be cluttering the data target with full loads..in which data is getting repeated..
Almost all TD BC datasources are delta enabled..for MD most are full loads..
U can use below steps in the process chain while loading delta data from source system to cube..
-start variant.
-drop indexes on cube.
-load data from source system to PSA(infopackage step)
-update data from PSA to cube(Update from PSA step)
-build cube indexes step
-build DB statistics step
While doing a TD full load,if u want to delete all previous requests in the data target,u can use 'delete all contents from data target' step, before u run the infopackage.
cheers,
Vishvesh
