Mail to Idoc Scenario. Pls help

Hi All,

Vendor is sending file as attachment by email

The PI must be able to extract the file from the e-mail attachment and process it and update R/3.

How PI will extract file from the e-mail attachment . Pls let me know

Hi All,

Suppose file is flat file that is coming as attachment in mail

Scenario can be

1. In Sender Mail adapter check Keep Attachment

2. Mail -- PI -- File receiver adapter (NFS -- PI local folder)

Is above scenario is corrcet

Hi Rachit,

In the Subject, you said Mail to Idoc and now you say Mail-to File.

In either case , your sender mail adapter configuration is the same (As per the blog).

Hi ,

Describing full scenario

Suppose file is flat file that is coming as attachment in mail.

Scenario can be

1. In Sender Mail adapter I will check Keep Attachment

2. Mail -- PI -- File receiver adapter (NFS -- PI local folder)

3. Then PI will read that flat file from File Sender adapter will do the content conversion and will send to R/3 using IDOC receiver adapter.

Is above scenario is corrcet. pls let me know
