File system grow in solution manager

Hi Gurus,

Kindly guide on the below issue . I am totally new to Maxdb database and in ouir solution manager system the file system for the below shown is growing tremendously:

25.61.27.150:/vol/LOGS02/MINOL_S78_log/S78_origlogA

8.0G 7.9G 177M 98% /sapdb/S78/saplog

25.61.27.151:/vol/LOGS02/MINOL_S78_log/S78_mirrlogA

8.0G 7.9G 177M 98% /sapdb/S78/m_saplog

When i go deep on the file system below is the contains:

ashca164:/ # cd /sapdb/S78/saplog

ashca164:/sapdb/S78/saplog # ls -al

total 8208108

drwxrwxr-x 3 sdb sdba 4096 Mar 6 2009 .

drwxrwxr-x 10 sdb sdba 4096 Apr 2 2009 ..

drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Apr 11 2007 .snapshot

-rw-rw---- 1 sdb sdba 8388608000 Nov 20 05:37 DISKL001

ashca164:/sapdb/S78/m_saplog # ls -al

total 8208108

drwxrwxr-x 3 sdb sdba 4096 Mar 6 2009 .

drwxrwxr-x 10 sdb sdba 4096 Apr 2 2009 ..

drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4096 Jun 12 2007 .snapshot

-rw-rw---- 1 sdb sdba 8388608000 Nov 20 05:38 M_DISKL001

Any idea how do we resolve this issue.. I am not too sure why this file is growing so much. Please help.

This is the database LOGFILE created on initialization of the database. The size is not growing, apparently you gave the full volume to that log when you initially created the database.

You're filesystem usage isn't growing!

It seems it was just a coincidence.
