Dear Experts,
I removed a navigational attribute from a characteristic and the cube of the characteristic.
The cube was reactivated.
Would this lead to deactivation of all update rules of this infocube?
I could not simulate this as I am still checking and do not want to complicate things.
Could you pls advise.
Thanks,
Suzie
Hi Suzie,
Any change to the cube leads to the deactivation of the update rules. Also any Multi-provider based on the cube would also get deactivated.

Hi Suzie,
Once you deactive and reactive cube for what ever reason you must Activate your updates as well..otherwise you will end up with error while data loads..
Hope this helps...

Make any change in the cube and the system implies that the structure of the cube has changed, which also needs(or might need) a updation in the update rules.
So system deactivates the update rules,so that we update them before any data load runs to the target.
If system will not do this deactivation,it can cause inconsistencies in cube data, and as said, failures in all data loads to that target.
cheers,

Hello Suzie,
Yes, if you remove the nav attribute from the cube and reactivate it, all the update rules on cube will be deactivated.
