Hello everybody,
is it somehow possible to cancel a running job?
I have to jobs in my MII system which are running since mid of october (and they are normaly quick as they only read data from a table with 21 lines)
but the job has the status "running" since october.
Thank you for your help,
Regards
Matthias
Matthias,
I have also seen that situation (MII 12.0) when jobs are stick in status running. One of the reasons was a system hangup because a database connection got stuck and blocked all processes.
After simply saving the job it was reset to status Pending, and then run normally again.
Was it just the status running, or did you actually find a process that was running in the background?
Michael

Michael and Michael,
thanks for your tipps. They sound very interessting to the problem
I'm already gone home so I can't test it now. As I'm not in office tomorrow I have to wait 'til monday.
How can I see if I process is running in the background? Just in the task manager or something like this? (I'm just the development guy, not from the basis so speak slowly please
Regards
Matthias
Hi Matthias,
What version and build of MII are you running?
Thanks,
Mike

Hi Matthias,
Can you provide the schedule settings for these jobs? Pattern and parameters, primarily.
Does the transaction only read the table or does it do something else after receiving the data?
Have you stopped and restarted the scheduler?
Have you disabled the scheduled job?
As a last resort, you can probably restart NW, but in production, that may not be a desirable option.
Regards,
Mike
