moving the log area to another HDD

Hi,

I would like to move the Log Area to a new Hard Disk, how can i do it please (except of making a soft link)?

when i try to change it in the Table: CONFIGURATION i get:

[-7008]: Updates of this table not allowed

since i didnt find any MaxDB- config files, i dont know how to do it?

What about something unusual like READING THE DOCUMENTATION?

Even just searching with the SDN search box in the upper right corner would have helped you in this case.

No need to manually update system tables (gosh!), no need to manipulate configuration files (where do you people get those ideas?).

Just use the frontend tool. DB Studio or DBMGUI.

And please: don't update any system tables, parameter files or whatsoever without knowing what you're doing ...
