dates in planning

All,

Planning can be done on different dates, like material availability date, Goods Issue date etc.

Can someone point out the impact when we change form mat. avail. date to e.g. GI date.

Does someone has a process for this?

Cheers

Hi,

Yes I am meaning the requested delivery date based on

which the demand and supply can be matched and

planned accordingly.

Hi Senthil,

You mean requested delivery date? In time the material availability date is before the Goods Issue date.

Hi,

It is always preferrable and recommendable to plan a material or

an item using material availability date rather than Goods Issue

date.

Good issue date implies material is still not in ready condition and

is under production.

If we switch the logic from MA date to GI date, then the planning

results will not be adherable to business and not executable.

Still, if we want to plan using changed date logics, you can use

the process of using enhancements, user exits, badi,s or

through function modules, heuritics, custom programmes etc.,

which are available in system
