Hi Everyone,
I'm using GUI 7.10. All of the other themes works fine other than SAP SIGNATURE Design. When I switch to SAP Signature Design, it changes the theme properly fine. However, when I click on the system to login (logon pad gui) It hangs with the following message.
Attempting to logon to (SID)
and it hangs. Any idea what can I do to solve this? I have done several things. I have deleted old Gui, then rebooted. Also deleted the whole SAP folder from c:\program...\SAP... and then rebooted. Reinstalled it and got the same issue. If I use other themes, they all work fine.
I would really appreciate your help!
Thanks in advance!!
Hi Afnan,
Attempting to logon to (SID) and it hangs.
Only that particular SID, or all ?
Thanks & Regards,
Nagendra.

Hello Everyone,
I just experienced this issue with a user for the first time. We are rolling out 7.20 PL 3. Has anyone found a permanent fix for it yet? Besides changing the theme?

Hello,
We currently have the same issue for all patches that use the Signature Design up to patch 15. This
issue also effects 7.20 Beta as well. I created an OSS message and I will keep you posted of the outcome.

Hello
which Windows Version do you use?
Have ALL ( windows ) users the same behaviour?
Please execute the NwCheckWorkstation.exe on the affected client to check the
Sapgui installation on that client
Are ther any errors?
Best Regards, Sven

Hello Afi,
how long did you wait for an answer from the backend?
Whcih error message did you received then?
ok, please create some traces.
But i think it is better to communicate this in an separate OSS message...
Please create saplogon trace according to note #532146 chapter 3 :
[3] Question: What should I do if the SAP GUI cannot connect to the SA
system, the response times of the SAP GUI are very bad or
the communication between SAP GUI and backend is interrupted?
Answer:
Please run the SAP GUI-trace. How to start the SAP GUI-trace? In SAP
Logon press: Alt+Space -> Options -> Activate SAP-GUI trace level
'Level 3' -> OK
Best regards, Sven
Hi Sven,
how long did you wait for an answer from the backend?
I have waited few minutes. It does not take more than a sec. If i use different themes.
Whcih error message did you received then?
This is strange. I am not getting any errors. It just hangs.
please create some traces.
I have turned on traces. I've found the following errors.

Thanks,
Never mind, I just saw the patch in the subject line.
What patch level are you using? I seem to recall the earlier patches encountered memory issues with the Signature theme.
Never mind, just noticed the patch is in the subject line.
