Hi Experts,
I am new to VC. I am working with some sample exercises. In that I mentioned an input field as required (mandatory), even if I didn't enter value it is calling the backend BAPI and returning the error message and also it is not displaying the mandatory message.
How to block the backend call with out input the required field?
Thanks & Regards,
Karthik.
Hi,
You can disable the button and enable it only when a value is entered in that input field.
For example:
if you have an input field "STR1" and a button "BTN1"
you can write a formula in the properties of the button, check the diable check box and write a formula using ISNULL() or IF condition.

Hi
As RK already said, enter the following if condition in the 'Submit' Button 'General Property' tab. You just 'Disable' the button & through 'Condition' for that, enter following formula -
bool(if(@your input field=="",true,false))
If you have any other issue let me know.

Hi
Validation message will work only when user enters some data & valadation is failed. e.g - In your case if user enters some value in the input field & then if he delete all the value (forcefully make it blank) then only it will work. Initial blank it will not consider for validation. If you want that 'Mandetory Field' validation then you have to use condition on submit button. Also you can enter the message in the form through 'Plain Text' option. (e.g - This field is mandetory)

Hi
Follow the steps below - (You need to create & deploy that model separately & copy the browser link of that model)
1. Create one 'Pushbutton' Or from Toolbar 'Button'
2. Go to Actions tab & select System Action as 'Hyperlink'
3. It will open one box below it there enter you link (Which you copied - of another model) in the " "
4. Then save & Deply model
5. At run time when you click on this button, it will open another model in new window.
There is another way of doing this. -
1. Drag Popup iview in your current model.
2. In this you can create 'New Model'.
3. Then Create one 'Push button' to trigger this iview.
4. There define some 'Custom Event' & & use this to trigeer the popup.
In my opinion first approach is better.
