Dear all,

from where system picked schedule line date.its come by default but form where.how can i set schedule line date for material.

Dear Ajit,

Schedule line date is nothing but the delivery date proposed by the system either automatically through ATP check or customer's requested delivery date if ATP is nt in use.

system defaults the value based on the predefined time estimates.

First of all system checks wht is the requested delivery date from customer and goes in backward , which is called backword scheduling. here base is requested delvery date.

It calculates the time involved for Picking and packing.

Loading time

Transportation planning time.

Goods issue date

transit time.

Based on this system gets Material availability date, once system knows mat avalability date it checks whether this date is in the past of the order date, if it is then system is not able to meet the requested delivery date then goes for forward scheduling which considers the above time frames considering ordering date as a base.

e.g cust placed an order on 10th , requested delivery date is 25th

system first takes 25th as base and calculates total time involved for above mentioned activities, lets say Material availability date comes as 15th (total of 10 days )that means system can confirm the quantity on requested delivery date.

but if the material availability date comes as 8th of the month (so total of 17 days), system is not able meet the requested delivery date.

It then takes 10th as base and goes 17days in future and confirms the material only on 27th automatically.

Hi,

It works like this.

Schedule Line date is copied from your Sales Order Line Item Requested delivery date. If Sch LIne Date is different from Line Item Requested Delivery Date, then it's due to ATP. Because system is suggesting possible delivery dates through ATP.

Now see how LIne Item Delivery Date is automatically appear ->

Your LIne Item Delivery Date is automatically coming from your Sales Order Header.

Now see how Sales Order Header Delivery Date is automatically coming ->

It comes from your sales document type.

To check that go to Tx: VOV8.

Go in to your Sales Document type

Under "Requested delivery date/pricing date/purchase order date" section you should be able to see "Propose deliv.date" field. If it's marked then system will automatically put Sales Order creation date as Sales Order Header Requested Delivery Date

If you want to keep a lead time for that, enter number of days under "Lead time in days" field.

Then system will automatically put a date with the lead time from the Sales Order creation date as Sales Order Header Requested Delivery Date
