Hi All!
I have some problems using the w2K Security manager in connection with the
Filesystem repositorymanager.
I have followed the guide
"Integrating Documents from a Windows System into KM"
I have performed the following steps:
1. created a windows system in the CM
2. created a windows system in the portal landscape with the Alias equal to the id of the CM windows system.
3. i have given the Servlet User (called SapService<SYSID> the nesecary righs on the fileserver.)
4. I have shared the folder on the filserver.
5. i have configured a network path(<b>
Filesever\Share</b>) (i have used the SapService<SYSID> user for this)
6. I have create a filesystem repository manager pointing at the same adress as the network path (<b>//Filesevrer/Share</b>) and set this repository to
use the w2k Security manager.
4. Added user mapping to my user.
When i have done all this, it seems to work,
ie. i can see all the documents on the share, but
the permissions are not taken into account.
Actually i can even remove the user mapping
and still see the folders and files, even though
no User mapping is performed.
Then i tried to change the user that i used in defining the
network path.
This resulted in that everybody has same rights as the user i used here.
So it looks as if the only permissions that go into account is the one specified for the user used
in defining the Network path, ie. the UserMapping is not even used.
How can this happen? - and how can i make shure that it is the users "own" permissions that goes into account?
My System is:
WAS 6.40 SP14.
EP 6.0 SP14.
KMC SP14.
Thanks in advance!
Best Regard

Hi,
W2k Security Manager
This security manager uses ACLs from WINDOWS®NTFS. It can be used for file system repository managers and CM repository managers that use the FSDB persistence mode.
It can be implemented alongside the following versions of the WINDOWS® operating system:
Windows Server 2003
Windows XP
Windows 2000

Hi Patricio!
Thanks for your answer
I have read that page,
and i have followed the settings as said in the first
post, so i am affraid i dont
get your point?
The ACL from the windows NTFS: Doesnt that mean that it will work with the existing File and Folder permissions on the filserver, and not only the Share permissions?
The Filserver is running Win2k3

Hi,
Ronni, have you create a Windows system into Windows Landscape System? and then an alias so on... ?
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/98/eb323dff83d228e10000000a114084/frameset.htm
In this link explains step by step that you must configure:
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/ed/b334ea02a2704388d1d2fc3e4298ad/frameset.htm
You have to use: W2k Security Manager
Patricio.
Hi Again Patricio!
Thanks for you answer.
Yes i have create the Windows System, and i have been given it the Alias correpsonding to the Name of the CM System: "Microsoft_Windows_KM"
Also i have mapped my user to this Alias.
The last link was the link i myself followed.
But myProblem is, that nomatter what i do, i end up
with the Repository beeing avialable for all users with the same permission, and the UserMapping is not even nesesacy. as if it does not use it..
