Registry Error

Hi All,

We try to install CRM 5.0, while scheduling the instalation itself getting an error with registry...

ERROR 2009-11-18 17:24:10

MOS-01185 The subkey 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DPS' does not exist on the 'localhost' host.

Hi Guna,

Generally this error is encountered because of the authorizations.

Navigate to the registry entry and check for specified node.

Start --> Run --> regedit.

and seach for the node (click on "My Computer" in registry and search for DPS using "Ctrl+f"). Once the entry is found right click on the node and select "Permissions" tab. Add the user through which you are running the installation and give Full access to the user.

Note - Directly you can navigate to the entry by collapsing the menu "'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\DPS"
