what is the difference between global view and local view...
hi shaqeel,
the changes to query in global view will be saved permanently whereas changes in the local view will be temporary and will not be there once you run the query again.

Hi Shaqeel,
Change query(loacal view)...
Gives you the ability to create your own calculated and restricted key figures for the current query view. It does not allow you to add key figures or characteristics.
Chage Query(Global View)...
Gives you the ability to add key figures and/or characteristics
Gloabally created structers, calculate keyfigures, restricted keyfigures can reuse in other reports agianest the same infoprovider.
Hope it Helps

Shaqeel
In the local view of query definition you could see only the objects related your query and you could change only those objects. In the global view of query definition you could see all the objects available in the Data Targets and you could change globally.
Hope this helps
Thanks
